Description
A synthetic octapeptide (acetyl-Glu-Glu-Met-Gln-Arg-Arg-Ala-Asp-NH2) that mimics the N-terminal end of SNAP-25, a SNARE complex protein. Competitively inhibits the SNARE complex to reduce neurotransmitter release at neuromuscular junctions, thereby attenuating facial muscle contractions. Topical Botox-alternative.
