PT-141 (also known as bremelanotide) is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analogue of α-MSH, cyclized through a lactam bridge between Asp and Lys. It carries an N-terminal acetyl group and a free C-terminal carboxylic acid, and is a melanocortin MC3/MC4 receptor ligand.
