Description
Sermorelin acetate is a synthetic 29-amino-acid analogue of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), corresponding to the biologically active N-terminal fragment of GHRH(1-44). It acts biochemically as a GHRH-receptor agonist. Sermorelin was previously approved as a pharmaceutical (marketed as Geref) and used clinically for diagnostic evaluation of growth-hormone secretory capacity; it is supplied here solely as a research chemical.
