Description
SS-31 (elamipretide) is a synthetic aromatic-cationic tetrapeptide of the Szeto–Schiller series, D-Arg-Dmt-Lys-Phe-NH₂, in which Dmt is 2′,6′-dimethyl-L-tyrosine. It binds the phospholipid cardiolipin.
